On The Big

We spent our day up on the big yesterday, and this is what I found.

The hoar frost builds crystals on every needle of a tree. It snows, more frost crystalizes on the snow, and the next thing you know, we have snow ghosts! Fog and the moisture in the air help build the weight of snow and ice to create this unique look. Warm temperatures and wind erase it in no time!
